Responsibilities

Job Summary

Provides nursing care and support to patents under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) in a defined care team and in accordance with scope of practice permitted by Nursing Skills Checklist, with the exception of administering medication. An incumbent assumes responsibility for own actions within the scope of clinical experience/education preparation, while being an active student in an accredited nursing program. A school-signed copy of the incumbent’s Nursing Skills Checklist is kept on file and updated regularly.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

High School Diploma (or GED), current enrollment in an accredited Registered Nurse Bachelor of Science Degree program or a Registered Nurse Associate Degree program, with satisfactory completion of at least one academic term (quarter or semester) which includes a clinical component.

Licensure/Certification

  • Must be registered by the Washington State Department of Health as a Nursing Technician.

  • Current healthcare provider BLS Certification.

  • A school-signed copy of the incumbent’s Nursing Skills Checklist must be on file and updated regularly.

Pay Range

$20.20 - $20.20 /hour
