First Mutual Holding Co Senior Benefits Administrator in Lakewood, Ohio

Description The Senior Benefits Administrator is responsible for administration of all employee benefits plans and leaves of absence programs. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities: Administers welfare benefit plans [medical, dental, life, disability, etc.] enrollment, termination, changes; responds to employee questions. Administers retirement plans enrollment, termination, changes; responds to employee questions. Works closely with brokers, carriers, administrators and other advisors on the management of programs. Administers leave of absence programs in compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations; responds to employee questions. Audits eligibility and invoices, reconciles invoices to enrollment, processes premium and service provider payments for employee benefit plans. Communicates employee benefit and leave of absence program information to employees. Provides ongoing reporting to management on enrollment, participation, expenses, and utilization. Ensures plans are compliant to federal and state laws and regulations regarding employee benefit plans. Manages service providers and vendors effectively; structures relationships with service providers in a strategic manner; sets expectations; develops performance metrics; measures vendor performance, provides feedback and holds accountable. Other duties as required. Necessary competencies: Adaptability Cooperation Communication skills Customer service Quality of work Workflow skills Technical Expertise Experience working in the Human Resources function in the financial services industry is preferred. Experience in employee benefits is required. Experience with employee benefits laws and regulations required. Experience using math or finance for renewals, reconciliations, etc. is preferred. Computer proficiency: MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Paycor payroll software is preferred. Education and Experience Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar discipline, or equivalent experience is required; Master's degree is preferred. Certification: PHR, SPHR, CEBS, CCP is preferred. Years of experience: 3 to 5 years is required. Years of experience supervising: None. Physical Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, walk, stand, sit, bend, reach with hands and arms, climb, push/pull, use hands, and see, hear, and speak. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. This position is performed in an office setting, five days a week with typical work hours being 8.30a through 5.15p.
