The Cleveland Center supplies alternators to locomotive manufacturing sites and repairs points across the globe. The site focuses on safe, efficient processes, while continuously driving out costs. The Electric Mechanic A is responsible for performing operations that involve but not limited to dismantling, cleaning, repairing, rebuilding of components across multiple product lines in an effective and efficient manner for the organization. Employees are involved in 5S and lean projects. Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older High-school diploma or GED or equivalent Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs and safety shoes Must be willing to work in a tobacco-free environment Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Must be willing to work as necessary to meet requirements of the position, including the ability to work occasional weekends and scheduled overtime Desired Skillset: Must have light industrial or mechanical background. Must have 3-5-year experience in mechanical background and skill set for operating specialized tools.
