Metal Fabricator
Job Information:
Contract-to-hire, located in Lakewood, NJ
Schedule/Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (some overtime)
Paying $20/hr - $22/hr.
Metal Fabricator Responsibilities:
Works with stainless steel sheet metal varying in thickness and metal type to custom fabricate stainless steel metal tanks, stainless steel pressure vessels, for industrial use
Operates machinery: punch press, drill press, grinds, spot welds, etc.
Operates and works with hands tools and power tools including pneumatic (air) tools.
Deciphers basic information by reading customer drawings, diagrams and blueprints
Preforms quality checks on finished product to assure order accuracy
Metal Fabricator Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Post-high school training or vocational certificate is preferred Examples: welding certification, OSHA 30, etc.
Must be able to stand for 8 hour shifts, use of both arms, hands, legs, etc. Able to bend, stoop, climbing ladders, work in confined spaces (training provided). Lifts up to 40lbs frequently, as needed.
Experience using hand and power tools, including protractors, squares, etc.
At least two (2) years in metal fabrication or in a similarly related manufacturing tech role.
