The Construction & Manufacturing Team supports all of Haskell's delivery groups across the company and the projects throughout the United States. The Construction & Manufacturing Team is responsible for providing the field management personnel, from the craft worker to the Project Superintendent. The Construction & Manufacturing Team also provides the team member with logistical support; including but not limited to establishing per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and the coordination of arrival for team members as needed on the project. The Construction & Manufacturing Team provides continual training for our team members to support their development from entry-level craft workers, via in-house/online courses, to local jurisdiction apprenticeship programs. In this role, you will manage project-specific safety and health concerns, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and the protection of employees, contract partners, clients, and the public. Your responsibilities will include: Within approximately 15-days of project mobilization, schedule with the project superintendent and conduct an initial site safety audit to ensure start-up safety procedures have been followed and the Code of Safe Practices is being adhered to by all site personnel Determines and maintains an appropriate site inspection schedule for each assigned project based upon project size, hazard exposures, client requirements, training needs, and project manager/superintendent input Assists the project superintendent in the enforcement of the Haskell Code of Safe Practices throughout the project Ensures all project documentation is maintained and readily accessible and that all site personnel have completed the safety orientation utilizing the Code of Safe Practices Assists the project superintendent with all safety administrative requirements consistent with corporate policy and procedure, including accident investigation and recordkeeping Assists project superintendent in safety efforts. Provides inspection and correction audits to the superintendent for his action with employees and contract partners Formulates and conducts n-site formal training specific to project needs Should hazards classified as imminent danger be identified, stop operations and protect others from the hazard. Contacts project superintendent for immediate correction. Verifies training of those involved in the generation of the hazard Communicates with the Manager of Safety on all project safety issues. Performs Safety Evaluation Report (SER) for each project assigned at no more than six-week intervals Be available to participate in kick-off, designing for safety, and pre-construction meetings as required Enforces safety rules per established disciplinary action guidelines Conducts accident investigations and assists project superintendent in the prompt reporting of incident/accident Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction Minimum of four years experience in the construct on industry Completion of OSHA Course #500 Employee should be able to have a thorough understanding of and the ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and corporate regulations The ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures Good interpersonal and communication skills required (both written and verbal). Comfortable with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service, and Trust To thrive in this role, you'll need: While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations The ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read application/form information.
