Job Title: I&C Engineering Technologist III

Location: 755 Parfet St, Suite 200, Lakewood, CO 80215

Requirements: 2 years of experience as an Electrician, Inspector, Superintendent, or related position. Experience must include working with: Control valves, as well as Process Controls, including complex control loops commonly utilized in the industry. Ladder logic programming, as well as I&C wiring, and various signal types and wires used. Instrumentation commonly utilized in the industry (level, pressure, flow, temperature). Instrumentation troubleshooting and problem-solving to be able to manage complex tasks in the field during start-up and commissioning of facilities. *Travel 25% (domestic).

Duties: Complete I&C Engineering Technologist tasks. Assist junior engineers in locating and correctly applying the code. Correctly apply codes and standards across a wide range of projects. Read and markup P&IDs with minimal input from Process and I&C Engineers. Create and validate instrument indexes and assign I/O per design Control System. Verify the Instrument's Manufacturer and Model Numbers, and identify which instrument requires external Power. Populate all instrument datasheets, check all Instrument & Control (I&C) Valve specifications from the RACI chart, review vendor provided I&C Valve quotes vs. the generated datasheets, and interact with vendors for all I&C-related items. Stay current on industry codes and standards, as well as correctly applying those codes and standards. Create a cause-and-effect matrix with input from Process and I&C Engineers. Generate and review network architecture diagrams, as well as specifying corresponding components for network architecture diagrams with input from I&C Engineer. Responsible for specific corresponding components for network architecture diagram. Verify PFD/P&IDs based on Design Basis and client requirements with input from Process and I&C Engineers. Read and markup P&IDs while walking down pipe on site, understand the fundamentals of Control Panel design, layout, and component selection, and capture client equipment on site as-builts. Responsible for process as well as competent knowledge and understanding of control valves. Responsible for complex control loops commonly utilized in the industry. Salary: $130,000 / year.
