This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Deputy Regional Director - Workplace primarily for our Southwest Mountain area with a preferred location of Denver, CO . The following locations will also be considered: Boulder CO; Lakewood CO; Phoenix AZ; Tempe AZ. Be involved in projects with our Workforce Strategy Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

This role will be responsible for serving as the backup to the West Regional Director of Workplace overseeing and supporting Workplace teams within the assigned area/district. Duties include managing day-to-day facility operations, managing facilities budgets, directing routine maintenance, responding to emergencies, managing risk, managing facilities contractors and facility suppliers, ensuring adherence to building security and safety policies, overseeing process and measuring performance toward continuity for West coast office locations. This role provides a standard platform for governance, performance management and service delivery, as well as providing direct oversight of 3rd party providers leading service delivery. Plans and directs facility operations including maintenance, repair, utilities, equipment, facility services and relevant staff.

Your Impact

  • Manages and provides oversight for physical office facilities-related operations, including maintenance, repair, utilities, equipment, custodial services, grounds and landscaping, shipping and receiving, mail operations, and coordination with local office leadership on any maintenance, development, or funding requests – as applicable.

  • Communicate with local leadership to evaluate Business Line requirements, metrics, and business case narratives.

  • Participates in evaluation of property status, including relocations, consolidation, closures, and renewals; pulling all costs associated with strategy options.

  • Engages in site visits with shortlisted site options and review process.

  • Manages facilities-related initiatives across multiple offices as well as the implementation of the facilities strategies, and maintenance planning; oversees that site safety inspections are complete and ensure closure of site inspection action items.

  • Manages reporting at the regional levels in order to aggregate data and conduct comparative analysis.

  • Provides recommendations for Opex and Capex facility budgets

  • Manages, evaluates, and reports on regional third party provider KPIs / performance metrics in partnership with Office administrators 

  • Manages, develops, and continuously trains the workplace staff within the district.

  • Reviews and makes continuous recommendations of standards for facilities performance improvements to be applied within the region.

  • Prepare, schedule, and facilitate Workplace Transformation town hall meetings.

  • Ensures and addresses compliance with WSP facility standards.

  • Reviews deliverables including Standard Operating Protocols, and process playbooks.

  • Recommends continuous improvements and best practices to reduce administrative burdens, improve long and/or short term facility maintenance and service, and solutions for cost savings.

  • Collaborate with other internal shared services organizations on the operation of the offices, such as Purchasing, Legal, Health and Safety and HR.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • 7+ years of relevant and recent experience in facilities management for a national, multi-faceted business; with current knowledge of applicable construction/building codes, specifications, and practices.

  • Experience leading and supporting facilities and workplace management activities.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively, and tactfully interact with leaders and employees at all levels of the organization.

  • A strong ability to quickly grasp the how facilities management initiatives can support the achievement of company objectives.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and prioritization of responsibilities in a pressure work environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • A track record of planning, organizing, and directing the work or personnel involved in maintaining facilities and related services.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft office, technology, spreadsheets, data analysis, and tools.

  • Strong ability to quickly adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility to a variety of schedules and hours to meet business needs.

  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Compensation and Benefits:

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.

Expected Salary: $ $79,100- $161,300

WSP USA is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
