The employee will perform general labor in connection with the ginning of cotton. The employee will perform manual physical labor such as carrying boxes of supplies, cleaning floors by sweeping or operating handheld blowers or vacuums, picking up trash around work site, un-tarping modules, securing cotton with ties, tying tarps, tagging cotton bales, bagging loose cotton, and assisting with repairs to gin equipment. The employee will follow directions provided by the gin manager and/or gin operator with various physical tasks within the cotton gin such as clearing blockages, cleaning lint filters, refilling supplies, removing gin trash buildup, picking up cotton in gin yard, and mowing and maintaining gin yard. The employee may operate a forklift and other similar equipment in gin yard in connection with movement and organization of cotton bales in the gin yard, as well as unloading\ cotton seed from trucks and loading cotton seed on rail cars. The employee shall be able to lift, load, and unload heavy (75lbs) objects on a repetitive basis for long periods of time. May have to work during the night on and most weekends. Employer may request, but will not require, the employee to work on his or her Sabbath.
