Job Summary
The Computer Hardware Technician is responsible for efficiently handling multiple tasks while achieving established production output goals. This role entails troubleshooting hardware and software issues with precision, demonstrating effective communication skills, and being committed to maintaining a high level of technical proficiency to ensure seamless operations in computer hardware support.
Responsibilities and Duties
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
Identify potential quality-related problems in a timely manner
Replace and repair desktop and laptop parts
Maintain and update customer information as necessary
Effectively communicate with customers with all levels of technical knowledge and skills
Requirements
CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent OR related degree
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Software
Have a minimum of 6 months experience troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues and/or the educational equivalent
Strong troubleshooting/diagnostic skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Exceptional listening/comprehension skills
Professional and courteous
Customer oriented
Work Environment
Ongoing usage of phone and computer systems
Your Work At Home environment must be in a private residence, located at the address listed on your personnel file
Alorica will provide the equipment you need to conduct your work which may include a webcam
You will need to provide an Internet/Broadband Internet Connection – DSL or Cable only. No Satellite, Dial-up or Wireless Internet connections .
Your workstation must be connected directly to the Internet with proof that your ISP meets a minimum download speed of 10 Mbps and minimum upload speed of 5 Mbps.
