The Cigna Group Program Governance Lead - CuraScript -Hybrid in Lake Mary, Florida
CuraScript SD a wholesale pharmaceutical distributor that provides customized business solutions and access to specialty drugs to community physicians, specialty pharmacies, and health systems; it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Express Scripts, Inc. – a Cigna Company.
CuraScript SD is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Program Governance Lead to join its technology team. This role will be part of the implementation and define the program governance model for CuraScript SD post implementation. The program governance lead is responsible for PMO operations support across the enterprise including project/program governance, portfolio management, project financial management, and continuous process improvement. Ensure governance and best practices are followed including risk and issue management, interdependency management, and change control. Provide thought leadership aimed at advancing project management maturity across the enterprise. Coordinate with the business for the organization of strategic initiatives and assist in the prioritization of release strategies and major programs.
Responsibilities:
Develop/deploy a program governance framework to effectively manage the IT project portfolio
Maintain standard processes for project requests, evaluation, and funding to ensure approved projects are aligned with CuraScript SD’s business goals and objectives
Publish project plan guidelines and controls that span all project stages from initiation through transition to operations including go-live and cutover strategies
Maintain a process for recording and communicating risks identified during the project
Provide guidelines for managing and resolving issues, dependencies, and constraints that arise during project delivery and ensure that impacts are analyzed affecting delivery and or resourcing
Embed organizational change management into project management processes to ensure adoption and successful business delivery including planning for change, managing change, and reinforcing change as well as communication planning
Lead planning activities that drive demand forecasts of projects, complexity, resourcing, and delivery to determine capacity requirements for the PMO; collaborate with peers to provide a consolidated view for senior leadership
Establish guidelines to clearly define scope and capturing the business objectives associated with project requests and enhancements to implemented systems
Define a structured approach for documenting, evaluating, and approving the preliminary scope of work
Define and manage gate controls and processes for scope alignment and stakeholders’ approval throughout delivery
Facilitate pre- and post-implementation return on investment and benefit measurement and reporting working with finance and business partners
Coordinate efforts with PMO leadership, Business Relationship Managers, and Architects to develop multiyear roadmaps across CuraScript SD for strategic planning purposes as well as regular production maintenance and Technology for Technology initiatives as well
Facilitate demand intake process across IT, to implement refined prioritization and scoring models for better assessment of requests
Provide transparency into the entire portfolio of investments, and enable key decision makers to prioritize demand based on strategic objectives, risks, dependencies and potential constraints in the supply of resources and report on a regular basis to various stakeholders
Drive improved maturity of IT project financial capabilities, by bringing together planning, budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, internal control, auditing, procurement, disbursement and the performance of the project with the goal of achieving the project’s objectives and managing project resources efficiently
Enhance or procure the proper tools to coordinate programs and enhancements as well as technology initiatives to enable forecasting, resource allocation and project/program delivery
Maintain fiscal processes and reporting for controlling portfolio costs against annual plan and forecast
Ensure all programs and projects maintain accurate financial forecasts to drive consistent, transparent and accurate portfolio forecasts
Provide guidance as to how project managers should confirm the overall budget is broken down into categories or groups identifying initial baseline budget
Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure SLA’s are being met. Ensure contractual obligations are being met and reported
Overall Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or 8+ years of hands-on experience working in Portfolio/PMO management, 8+ years of hands-on experience managing resource allocation and aligning with demand pipeline, 8+ years of hands-on experience managing multi-tiered program budgets
Hands on experience with Jira/Kanban or related project and program management tools
PMP certification required or relevant experience with managing large scale portfolios
Experience with agile and waterfall delivery methodologies
Experience/understanding with ERP implementation processes (i.e. planning, blueprinting, go-live, Hypercare)
Experience managing program go-lives and cutover strategies
Demonstrated strong organizational skills with strong PC literacy with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management software
Must be highly customer focused with a demonstrated commitment to customer care and building long-term relationships
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated track record on managing concurrent projects/initiatives through others
Additional Qualifications
Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA preferred
Knowledge of supply chain management preferred
Experience in supply chain management preferred
Experience in wholesale pharmaceutical distribution or life sciences preferred
Experience with SAP Solution manager preferred
Completed at least one end to end ERP implementation
Big four consulting preferred
