Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in the Legal industry, located in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. As a Tax Preparer, you will be primarily responsible for the preparation of various federal and state income tax returns, focusing on Forms 1041, 1065 and 990-PF. You will also be involved in implementing tax planning strategies, reviewing and making payments for quarterly estimated taxes, and conducting tax-related research.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare a wide range of federal and state income tax returns, focusing on Forms 1041, 1065 and 990-PF.
• Implement tax planning strategies to optimize client tax positions.
• Review and facilitate the payment of quarterly estimated taxes.
• Conduct tax-related research to stay informed about the latest tax laws and regulations.
• Participate in trust accounting activities, when necessary.
• Prepare estate and gift tax returns, as required.
• Perform a broad range of bookkeeping and billing activities.
• Handle increased workloads during busy tax filing seasons.
• Work independently and stay on task without close supervision. Requirements • Proficiency in Annual Tax preparation and filing
• Extensive experience as a Tax Preparer
• Mastery of CCH ProSystem fx for Tax Planning
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with IRS Form 1065 and its preparation requirements
