Molecular Epidemiology Inc. Postdoctoral Research Scientist - Microbiology (Seattle, WA) in Lake Forest Park, Washington
IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist (Microbiology) position at its facility in Seattle, WA. Applicants must possess a PhD degree in Food Microbiology, Food Science or a related topic. The candidate should be highly motivated and proactive, have a strong passion for food microbiology and food science and be willing to do their best to help our clients on their requested projects. This position works as part of the Special Projects team, which performs a variety of projects in food science, food microbiology, and other areas of biology as needed, in a timely manner. Occasional work on weekends, extended hours, and or presence in the lab outside of the normal schedule are sometimes needed. This position may require occasional travel assignments, as per the needs of the project. Upon receiving training, the Research Scientist is expected to help with bench work, proposal/report writing, data analysis, general laboratory works, and any other related tasks assigned as per day to day and project needs. The pay range for this position is $60,000.00 - $70,000 annually. This is a full-time position eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, 401(k), health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 6 paid holidays per year.
