Quality Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our manufacturing processes, particularly focusing on PCB board inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct first article inspections (FAI).

  • Perform daily quality control (QC) tasks, including in-process, final, and component inspections.

  • Inspect boards from the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process as they come off the line.

  • Inspect boards from both hand and machine assembly processes.

  • Operate Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) programs to inspect boards as needed.

  • Ensure all products comply with customer and regulatory standards.

  • Communicate quality issues to the SMT team, managers, and engineers as necessary.

  • Implement and improve existing QA procedures and systems.

  • Support engineering activities aimed at enhancing product quality to meet customer requirements.

  • Assist with internal quality audits and maintain relevant documentation.

  • Be adaptable in a small work environment, performing hand soldering and other technician tasks when QC inspection is not required.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with PCB and SMT inspection.

  • Ability to conduct first article inspections.

  • Proficiency in using blueprints and hand tools.

  • Knowledge of through-hole and surface mount technology.

  • Experience operating Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with ITAR compliance.

Work Environment

You will work in a very clean manufacturing environment with standard working hours from 7am to 3:30pm. The role requires adaptability to perform various tasks, including hand soldering and technician duties, when necessary.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Forest, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00
