Overview
THE ROLE:
The Lead Facility Maintenance Technician will work with outside vendors and within a cross-departmental environment to ensure the uninterrupted operation of various facility / utilities services programs. Job functions include responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks, in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, buildings roller doors, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing, etc.).
WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM:
Our maintenance team takes pride in providing a complete service of keeping the facilities and equipment in good repair for the Herbalife Lake Forest Manufacturing Plant. Consistent, clear communication between all 3 shifts and all departments to enable us to perform efficiently.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:
Conduct inspections of work completed by facility service contractors and investigate concerns related to these projects/programs
Coordinate periodic Maintenance service with outside vendor of the plant compressed air system for both buildings. Keep spare parts inventory for this equipment
Coordinate periodic Maintenance service with outside vendor of the plant's AC units for both buildings.
Coordinate periodic Maintenance service with outside vendor of the fire sprinkler protection system and all inspections related to compliance of the system
Monitor vendor performance and communicate effectively with them in order to achieve maximum productivity for the programs
Coordinate periodic Maintenance service of the plant dust collectors' systems and order parts as needed
Coordinate periodic Maintenance service with outside vendors for Emergency Lighting, Outside parking lights, Boiler, Purified Water, City Water, Hot Water Heaters, Roof, Electrical System
Evaluate programs for cost savings opportunities and submit proposals to management for program alteration to achieve this goal
Sustain neat and orderly stock rooms for facility related supplies
Accept and prioritize internal requests for facility service needs and communicate them to appropriate parties
Submit requisitions for purchasing approval for required facility services needs
Maintain project calendar and assist in ensuring timely completion of Facility Services projects
Schedule project implementation dates, coordinating with all impacted parties. If needed, serve as an escort while contractor is in the facility and oversee their compliance with cGMP and other facility rules and regulations
Perform other duties assigned by management

Qualifications
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Leadership skills with the ability to direct others and/or activities and strong interpersonal skills
Strength with basic math with attention details and handling invoices to ensure accuracy from vendors
Good computer skills.
Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office with strength in Microsoft Excel and eMaintenance. Versatile in other computer applications and systems, with emphasis with Oracle and other ordering and/or stocking systems.
Highly organized with the ability to maintain numerous ongoing projects. Previous experience handling multiple projects demonstrated.
Experience:
5 years in a manufacturing and/or corporate setting
Vendor management and performance evaluation experience
Previous project management experience including working with outside contractors and etc.
Exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle, e-Maintenance or etc
Education:
- High school Diploma or GED equivalent
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
- Associates Degree or Technical Degree
