Bright Horizons Full Time VPK Teacher in Lake, Florida

PRIMARY PURPOSE

Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children that encourage their social, emotional, physical and intellectual development. Design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum to prepare 4 and 5 year-old children for Kindergarten according to guidelines established by Bright Horizons. Maintain positive relationships with parents/guardians, children and co-workers. Incorporate Bright Horizons’ mission, culture, goals, values (HEART Principles), philosophies, policies and practices and development of an inclusive environment. Ensure safety and supervision of children at all times by meeting physical demands of the position.

Bright Horizons at Military Trail is now hiring in Lake Worth, FL!

  • Full-time positions now available with:

  • Pre-K/VPK from 9:00AM-6:00PM (CDA/VPK classes required)

  • We offer competitive salaries starting at $16.50-$22.30/ hr based upon education and experience.

  • Preferred: DCF45hrs/exams completed (contingent upon state residency OR time in field)

  • Required: CDA (Pre-K role required))

As a Child Care Lead Teacher or Kindergarten Prep Teacher , you will:

  • Guide a teaching team to develop classroom plans, goals, and leadhands-on activities based on your observations of the children’s interests and needs.

  • Communicate daily with parents. Document and share the important milestones in their child’s day.

  • Keep the classroom safe and clean by following important procedures and guidelines.

Requirements :

Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GEDrequired

  • CDA requir ed

  • At least six months of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool required

  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) required
