Ebenezer Housekeeper in Lake City, Minnesota
Overview
- Guaranteed wage increase of $2.00 over the course of the first year of employment.
We are looking for a H ousekeeper/housekeeping staff to provide a clean, safe and pleasant environment for residents, staff and visitors of our skilled nursing care center in beautiful l Lake City, MN .
This part-time, Day shift cleaning/housekeeping schedule includes;
48 hours every two weeks , working every third weekend

Lake City Care Center is owned by the Mayo Clinic Health System with the daily operations managed by Ebenezer. At any given time, as many as 90 people call the care center their home. Since we opened in 1978, we’ve served thousands. The care center is connected to a Mayo clinic and hospital, so residents don't have to leave the building for a clinic appointment or emergency care if needed.
Responsibilities/Job Description
Cleans resident and common areas of community as assigned, including floor care
Assists with light maintenance tasks and cleaning emergency spills as needed
Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies
Assists residents with laundry as requested
Ensures timely and efficient turnover of apartments
Performs job duties safely, using correct body mechanics and protective equipment
Promotes a safe environment for staff, residents and visitors
Qualifications
Required skills:
Ability to work independently, show attention to detail, multi-task and maintain confidentiality
Able to work in varying environmental conditions, along with cleaning human/bodily fluids or waste
Able to understand and follow verbal and written communication including policies/procedures and safety sheets.
Preferred experience/skills:
- Work experience in cleaning or similar environment

Vaccination Update
As part of our ongoing efforts to protect the wellbeing of our teams and to provide a safe and healthy environment for the patients and communities we serve, all Ebenezer employees will be required to receive both an annual flu vaccination and the COVID-19 vaccination series. Current employees must have completed both vaccination schedules on or before January 4, 2022.
Any new hires who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are required to receive their first dose prior to their start date and their second dose (if receiving Moderna or Pfizer vaccines) within 4 weeks of their start date. Annual flu vaccinations are also required before the employment start date for employees who begin employment during the flu season. Accommodations requests will be reviewed on an individual basis.
