Need 1 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworker / Laborer to work in Lake City, MN. From: 08/07/2024 - 06/01/2025 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 7 hrs./day, Sat. 5 hrs./day. Hours listed are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. A worker can earn bonuses based on performance. Bonuses are based on performance and are at the sole discretion of the employer. OVERTIME: Hours worked over 48 in one work week, are paid at one and a half times the regular rate. ESST LAW: Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. JOB DUTIES: General farm worker responsibilities will be to harvest food crops, apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizer to crops, and tend livestock. Repair farm buildings and fences, works with irrigation repairs and cleans and maintains barns. Work performed requires extensive pushing or pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have 1 month experience with general farming; must be able to lift 50lbs.; no minimum education requirement. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
