The Manager of Programs oversees the operational success of their assigned program by ensuring seamless team management and development, program delivery, and quality control and evaluation to meet and manage budgets and schedules. This includes the direction and implementation of a program of construction projects, ensuring consistency with department strategy, commitments, and goals. Create an environment that encourages creative thinking and supports calculated risk-taking. This is a leadership role and you will provide feedback to the organizational objectives and strategy while leading a team to achieve these goals.
You will report to the Director of Facility Asset Management.
What You Will Do
Participate in department strategy development, lead, and mentor team members, and cultivate relationships with all partners.

Articulate a compelling vision and strategy for the team, fostering high levels of engagement and ownership within the team to achieve shared goals.
Lead high-performing teams that manage comprehensive designs that achieve stakeholder goals and deliver innovative solutions to enhance value while minimizing operational outages and finding delivery efficiencies.
Proactively identify and mitigate potential operational impacts and negotiate with operators to implement projects most efficiently and cost-effectively.
Consider issues holistically, analyzing their impact on the broader organization and beyond the immediate scope.
Influence and persuade stakeholders to support project objectives and actively solicit and value diverse perspectives to drive innovation.
Provide strategic guidance on project procurement and delivery to maximize value throughout the contract process.
Proactively forecast, communicate, and resolve scope, scheduling, and budget issues clearly and concisely.
Navigate complex challenges associated with coordinating operational constraints and project goals. Maintain open and transparent communication with executive management on all critical issues.
Direct all phases of project delivery, including initial planning, scope development, contracting, construction, and closeout, while maintaining strong leadership and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead the program team, ensuring compliance with all departmental guidelines and that team members understand and align with executive decisions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
10+ years of experience in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or commercial facilities construction industry.
Expertise in construction methods and the ability to interpret design drawings and specs.
Knowledge of construction and project management processes, and purchasing/contract management.
Expertise with construction finance (budgets, cash flows, etc.).
Extensive experience in all facets of team leadership, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management.
Excellent facilitation skills and ability to dynamically navigate complex conversations
Education
- Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
