Job Title: Quality Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Quality Technician to join our team. Our company serves the OEM marketplace, primarily within the medical, food service, material handling, and heavy truck industries by supplying housings, covers, and enclosures. The ideal candidate will have experience with FARO ARM CMM, Pc Dmis Software, and SolidWorks. A working knowledge of statistics and data analysis is essential, as the role involves analyzing testing data and communicating results to peers, upper management, and customers.
Responsibilities
Operate and program the CMM machine, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Measure dimensions of components and finished products to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
Read and write CMM reports accurately.
Develop work instructions for CMM setup and operation for various programs.
Use calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and various other hand tools with precision.
Ensure accuracy and precision in measurements for customer sample layouts, production first-piece, and dimensional checks.
Assist the Quality Director in dimensional inspection of products for PPAPs and investigations.
Collect and analyze data for measurement systems analysis, capability studies, design of experiments, gauge R&R, etc.
Review customer-defined acceptance criteria to ensure appropriate inspection methods and identify/document any drawing/specification errors.
Compile and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to customers for approval.
Assist the Quality Director in defining and delivering responses to customer requests and inquiries related to product quality.
Essential Skills
Experience with FARO ARM CMM
Proficiency in Pc Dmis Software
Knowledge of SolidWorks
Working knowledge of statistics and data analysis
Ability to read and write CMM reports
Skilled in using precision measuring instruments
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in the plastic thermoforming environment
Strong analytical skills
Attention to detail

Work Environment
Work is completed in an office setting with some plant measuring required. Hours may vary depending on company needs, and overtime may be required when necessary.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $70700.00
