Job purpose
The Assistant Principal position has been created to ensure the smooth functioning of Lakeland Jr/Sr Highs educational and extracurricular programs.
Duties and responsibilities Other duties may be assigned by the Principal or Superintendent.
- Assure health, safety and welfare of students.
- Assist in monitoring attendance grades 7-12; prepare letters, call and Meet with parents as needed and required by attendance policy.
- Administer discipline in accordance with law and policy for grades 10-12.
- Participate in informal and formal classroom visitation and observations; timely feedback in accordance with the corporations evaluation plan is required.
- Chair special education conferences.
- Serve as the main administrative contact for the Athletic Department.
- Assist in special athletic and facility related projects.
- Supervision of extracurricular activities.
