The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and support for the LaGrange Mill Warehouse. Monitor and schedule inbound/outbound shipments using OSM outbound shipping monitor in SAP, oversee carrier appointment process managed by the 3PL, oversee yard management system, planning of daily shipping schedules to include movement to/from outside storage, approval/investigation of freight bills and manage shipping streams for all Mill waste. The incumbent is a member of the Logistics Team and reports to the Logistics Manager. This position requires a high level of initiative, communication, and organization skills. The incumbent must provide coaching to the 3PL on warehouse standards. In this role, you will: Coordinate customer order demand with existing inventory in SAP. Review daily trailer status and warehouse capacity status to escalate any issues. Conduct transactions in EWM of semi-finished inventory disposition to corporate and sector standards. Assist as an SAP and EWM system expert (Key User Trainer) by training other system users and assisting in system troubleshooting. Serve as a liaison between our planning, operations and 3PL teams. Work directly with 3rd Party Labor (3PL) coordinating inbound receipts to include raw materials, finishing supplies, and roll goods. Ensure transactions occur in the current month for systematic inbound and outbound movements. Developing and updating standard work instructions as conditions warrant. Assist in various projects, which may include preparing adhoc reports, contributing to process improvement projects, and supporting other logistics related objectives. Investigate and respond to customer advisories on shipping and order correctness complaints. Manage Hyster fleet needs for the site. Provide key oversight for Hyster safety programs (Hit-Not System and Telemetry) Manage relationship with all recycling vendors and create/process shipping documents related to recyclable waste. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications: Past work-related experience in a Warehouse/Distribution role. Ability to operate with limited business direction. Strong communication and organizational skills. Experience with Excel and Outlook. (Subject to skill test) Experience with SAP. (Subject to skill test) Preferred Qualifications: Problem solving experience in reducing total costs and improving processes. Experience with SAP inventory management functionality. Experience with EWM functionality.
