Are you ready to take on a critical role in ensuring smooth production and logistics operations? GE Appliances is seeking a dedicated Material Planner to manage raw materials and purchased components in a high-speed manufacturing environment. This is your chance to work hands-on with our supply base, coordinate just-in-time material arrivals, and drive impactful logistics improvements.

Be at the heart of supply chain excellence by ensuring material availability for production.
Collaborate with suppliers and inbound transportation teams to achieve seamless operations.
Make a meaningful impact through initiatives like Bill of Material (BOM) accuracy, New Model planning, and logistics enhancements.
What You'll Do
Coordinate material planning to ensure parts are ready for production, solving problems proactively with suppliers.
Lead initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy, reduce excess/obsolescence, and streamline logistics.
Drive logistics improvement projects, including RWIP reduction, supplier capacity analysis, and returnable packaging upgrades.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, working closely to improve performance and reduce costs.
Partner with scheduling teams to minimize the impact of supply shortages and schedule changes.
Support the phase-in and phase-out of product models to ensure smooth transitions and prevent downtime.
Assist with cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory records.
Create and implement innovative processes to optimize supplier performance and reduce production disruptions.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in supply chain management.
Proficiency with MRP systems.
Preferred Qualifications :
An understanding of manufacturing and supply chain concepts.
Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with flexibility and sound judgment.
Proven relationship-building skills with internal teams and external suppliers.
Familiarity with the appliance industry is a plus.
