We are currently seeking a Full Time High School Science AIS Specialist for the 2023-2024 School Year.
Summary:
Coordinate regents prep classes for Biology and Earth Science.
Coordinate two science electives.
Utilize pull outs to support our science department.
Communicate with classroom teacher and provide students with additional practice and assistance with the material being taught.
Provides classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans.
Creates a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
Maintains a safe and orderly environment.
Maintains established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which they are assigned.
Maintains reasonable rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and responsibility.
Familiarity with Next Generation Learning Standards.
Evidence of positive classroom management skills; strong communication skills.
Evidence of self-initiative and ability to collaborate within a team.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Candidates must be NYS certified in the area for which they are applying to teach.
