The *Hazardous Waste and Toxic Reduction Program *within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a *Pollution Prevention Assistance Marketing Coordinator (Environmental Planner 3) *position.   This position can be in any of the following locations:

  • Headquarters Office in* *Lacey, WA.{rel="nofollow"}
  • Northwest Region Office (NWRO) *in *Shoreline, WA{rel="nofollow"}.
  • Central Region Office (CRO) in Union Gap, WA{rel="nofollow"}.
  • Eastern Region Office (ERO) in Spokane, WA{rel="nofollow"}.    

Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station. Please Note: If the final location of this position is determined to be in our Northwest Region Office (NWRO) in Shoreline, WA{target="_blank" rel="noopener"}. there will be an additional 5% pay increase due to its location in King County. In this instance the salary range will be $5,776 - $7,770 per month.   Do you have a passion for communication and marketing? Would you like to help businesses understand how they can access technical and financial assistance to reduce pollution while supporting their business? * * As the Marketing Coordinator for the Pollution Prevention Assistance (PPA) Partnership and Product Replacement Program (PRP), *you will be the primary planner for identifying short- and long-term marketing needs for these programs. You will develop communication plans and marketing strategies to increase interest and participation in our services by identifying potential opportunities, and recognizing and evaluating social, economic, and business trends of various business sector audiences. You will assist your team with developing outreach materials, ensuring consistent branding, and assist with strategic planning for the future of PPA and PRP to support a clean and healthy Washington. *Program Mission: *Hazardous Waste and Toxic Reduction Program's mission is to protect Washington's residents and environment by reducing the use of toxic chemicals, safely managing dangerous waste, preventing new contaminated sites, and cleaning up contamination. *Agency Mission: *Ecology's mission is to protect, preserve, and enhance Washington's environment for current and future generations.   *Tele-work options for this position: *This position will have flexibility of a hybrid schedule, empowering work from home and office, providing less time in traffic and shrinking your carbon footprint.
