Our client located near Whittier CA, a leading manufacturer of mechanical HVAC based building products is looking for Sr Mechanical Engineer with experience designing for central chiller plants, package units, split systems, air handling units, variable refrigerant volume units, and other mechanical systems. Independent candidate capable of making autonomous decisions based on experience and project requirements needed.

responsibilities:
Mechanical design for central chiller plants, package units, split systems, air handling units, variable refrigerant volume units and other mechanical systems
Prepare preliminary (redline) design layouts for estimating.
Responsible for the quality of work produced by third-party engineering consultants.
Perform calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, pipe and duct sizing, friction loss calculations, etc.
8+ years' experience in HVAC Design/construction
