Summit Electric Supply Sales Project Specialist in La Porte, Texas

In the Project Quotations position, you will work closely with a dynamic team to provide pricing from our vendors for the Service Center’s new quotes, existing projects, and opportunities from the outside sales team.
As the team's go-to for Project Quotations you will:
Provide customers with complete, comprehensive, competitive and accurate project quotes.
Pay close attention to detail to ensure quote accuracy.
Partner with inside sales and account managers or other Summit associates as needed to maintain levels of excellence throughout Summit.
Build and maintain customer and vendor relationships.
As the team's go-to for Project Quotations you will:
Provide customers with complete, comprehensive, competitive and accurate project quotes.
Assist customers in person, over the phone or via internet with Summit product questions, quotations and orders.
Pay close attention to detail to ensure quote accuracy.
Use discretionary authority to determine and provide customer product pricing, negotiate pricing with suppliers, purchase materials specific to customer orders and maintain service standards.
Partner with inside sales and account managers or other Summit associates as needed to maintain levels of excellence throughout Summit.
Build and maintain customer relationships.

To be successful, you will have:
Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs with focus on Excel.
Strong grasp of mathematical concepts.
Strong customer service orientation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Time management – strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Flexibility – ability to effectively adapt to change.
These additional Skills and Experience will help you excel!
Previous successful experience in SAP.
Completion of EPEC Gold program.
Knowledge and understanding of the local market.
Current, strong relationships with local reps.
3-5 years customer service experience in the electrical distribution industry or equivalent experience in a related industry is preferred.
