If you enjoy being challenged in a fast-paced environment, then our Receiving Coordinator at our La Porte, TX facility is a great opportunity for you! You will interact and coordinate with internal or external customers to complete tasks related to data entry, general administration, shipping, receiving, and the entering data for processing of waste.
Position Status
There’s no specific “person in charge” (PIC) assigned yet, but the team is aware the job is open.
First step: Collect resumes by January 28, 2025 .
Schedule & Hours
The work schedule is a rotating 4 days on / 4 days off , switching between day and night shifts.
Training usually lasts about 3 months .
Pay & Union
Hourly wage: $22.28 (union scale).
This is a union position.
Overtime (OT) is available (about 8 hours in certain weeks, plus extra for call-offs and covering vacations).
On-call duty happens after the day shift, about 8 days a month , though actual call-ins are low.
Typical Day on the Job
You’ll be receiving scheduled truck loads all day—around 100 visitors/drivers to check in daily.
There are 4 main work stations :
Check-in station.
Inspect incoming loads.
Paperwork station (handing off documentation).
Coordination with the plant for unloading and managing empty pickups.
- During night shifts , one person usually covers all four stations.
Team & Environment
Department size: 9 people total .
4 on rotating shifts (including this role).
4 work Monday to Friday.
1-2 in a separate area.
Work is done in an open environment with various personalities. You’ll need to be flexible and cooperative.

That’s it in a nutshell. You’ll be busy checking in loads, doing inspections and paperwork, and coordinating with the plant. The role suits someone who’s organized, adaptable to shifting schedules, and good with both technology and people.
Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner
Lab data entry into WIN system
Filing, typing, and general clerical duties
Utilizing WIN central and plant receiving, profile access and printing
Data entry into WIN, Excel and/or Outlook for truck-to-truck materials
Organization and filing manifest paperwork, receiving documents, and truck to truck paperwork
Organization and maintenance of trailer inventories and data entry into shared files in WIN
Printing and creating inbound receiving reports and materials
Creation of shipping papers for rejected materials
Data entry of tracking info into WIN for drum and bulk tracking operations for tankers, railcars and roll offs
Any administrative duties as deemed required by supervisors
Supply management in their area of responsibility, including proper housekeeping and best management practices
Adherence to all applicable CHES policies and CHES SOPs
Maintains a safe working environment that follows all applicable OSHA regulations as well as all applicable company Health & Safety and Compliance protocol
Performs job functions in compliance with the company standard: Clean Compliance
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business
What does it take to work at Clean Harbors?
High School diploma, GED and some college preferred
1+ years office experience in a fast-paced environment
Customer service centric
Data Entry experience-accuracy is a must
Computer savvy
Ability to work in team environment and communicate with all levels of an organization
Proficiency in Windows based applications.
Must be able to sit at desk for extended periods
Lift up to 25 lbs from the ground to your waste
Must be able to work a rotational shift days and nights
