Aerotek MIG Welder in La Mirada, California
Description:
Two Mig welders needed for the day shift (8am-5pm) in large manufacturing facility in La Mirada and Brea, CA. Looking for experience ideally welding 16 gauge to 1 inch thick sheet metal and able to use Miller Welding machines. Pay will be between $25-$30 an hour based the weld test and experience. Overtime will be available as well.
-This position is responsible for welding accurate, quality parts according to instructions and within specified time frame, using the appropriate tools and/or equipment according to safety and quality standards.
-Candidate should be able to perform adjustments needed to ensure factory settings and specifications by using schematics, engineering documents and precedent to weld parts and submitting welded parts to quality control or appropriate team leader.
Requirements:
-Must be able to read welding blueprints/ drawing to determine design, size, location and number of welds including joining and and inspections information.
- Hard wire MIG welding carbon steel plate up to 1" thick
-Typically use 0.35" and 0.45" steel core wire.
-Able to weld in various positions - uphill, downhill, flat and horizontally
-Able to align components using calipers, rules and clamp pieces
-Repair Machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
-Maintains tools, equipment, and workspace by following instructions, reporting problems and repairs needed.
