Description
Our client, a respected banking institution in La Mesa, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to provide essential support across various accounting functions. This role will involve accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and cash deposit reconciliation. It’s a great opportunity for a detail-oriented candidate looking to expand their accounting experience in the banking sector. The position is contract or contract-to-hire, with the potential for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate entries.
Support the billing department by preparing and sending invoices.
Reconcile daily cash deposits and monitor discrepancies.
Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
Requirements
Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, or cash reconciliation (banking experience preferred).
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
