Mechanic Associate and Parts Puller

MUSTS: 18 years of age with a valid driver license, be able to pass drug test and a background check. Requires the ability lift and move heavy items up to 80 lbs. Strong work ethic with integrity. Dependable and can-do attitude, punctual and on time. Ability to multi-task with attention to detail and organizational skills. Works well in a team environment. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Strong auto-mechanical knowledge. Must be able to identify all the parts of a vehicle both new and late models. Previous body shop/mechanic work experience is a plus. Experience with inventory control systems is a plus.

SKILLS: Ability to differentiate between good and bad parts, ability to use testing equipment. Previous auto salvage/mechanic experience is preferred.

DUTIES: The Mechanic Associate helps receive, dismantle, stores, and distributes new and used inventory. To assist in pulling, retrieving of parts for customer orders with precise detail to correct part and retrieving without damaging the part.

Responsibilities include but not limited to: Assists in retrieving parts from stock or from vehicles in the yard to complete customer order with attention to detail without damaging the part needed Assists in the unloading of trucks. Sorts and places merchandise on shelves and racks according to predetermined sequence. Ability to clean up work areas, sweep, empty trash as needed Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, couch, and crawl Consistently exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise

PAY: $14.42 or higher depending on experience. PAID: Every 2 weeks on a Friday

BENEFITS: Vacation/sick time after 1 year of employment.

STARTS: As soon as possible.

DURATION: Fulltime regular

SHIFT: Monday - Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm with a 1 hour lunch break
