Job Title: Engineering Technician
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform engineering technician tasks and maintenance activities independently, evaluating alternative courses of action and making informed decisions. This role involves serving as a subject matter expert in maintenance programs, systems, automation, PLCs, and leading optimization projects for equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automation aspects of equipment reliability.
Lead installation of industrial equipment such as machinery and automation.
Provide technical support to maintenance personnel for advanced troubleshooting of mechanical/electrical issues and planned outages.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules, identify and order necessary parts, and ensure all equipment meets regulatory standards.
Perform regular inspections, make necessary repairs, and replace outdated technology or machines with newer models.
Install and upgrade system components to improve system optimization and perform diagnostic systems to locate any needed adjustments.
Analyze and determine the best actions, identify improvement opportunities for installed equipment.
Reduce operational costs through cost-reduction ideas and initiatives.
Mentor and supervise other engineering technicians as required.
Essential Skills
Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
Maintenance technician experience.
Automation and PLC troubleshooting skills.
Experience with equipment reliability and equipment installation.
Maintenance scheduling proficiency.
Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and AutoCAD.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associates degree in Maintenance or Manufacturing Technology is ideal but not mandatory.
PLC troubleshooting training is highly beneficial.
Project management experience, including the installation of equipment and coordinating/managing vendors.
Work Environment
This position involves working day shifts with occasional on-call support for weekends.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
