WorkSource Oregon Resident Services Coordinator in La Grande, Oregon

Looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and social skills to build community through delivering programs in a multi-generational affordable housing community. The Resident Services Coordinator facilitates and oversees programs in the arts and community building. REQUIREMENTS: * High school diploma or equivalent. * One year experience working with the public and some experience in housing or housing related area; training in housing management may be substituted for experience. QUALIFICATIONS: * Knowledge of office practices and procedures. * Must organize work tasks and manage time productively. * Must have good language and communication skills including maintaining a positive relationship with tenants while enforcing compliance of agency\'s requirements. * Outgoing team player with optimistic outlook and good judgement. * Considerable initiative and judgement in adapting programs to the needs of the individual resident or group, and in securing the cooperation of the residents and personnel. * Knowledge of local arts community a plus and artistic background a plus. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develops, organizes, schedules, and facilitates on site programs in the areas of visual, literary and performing Arts. * Works with team to develop innovative programming to further the experience of creative and healthy living. * Advertise and promote classes, events, celebrations with emphasis in Arts and creativity. * Monitor the progress and success of the classes, workshops, events. * Recruit, contract, and communicate with Independent Contractors (teachers), potential speakers and entertainers. * Schedule and facilitate events, (e.g., music, art shows; community events) and special workshops. * Research information, resources for developing new classes and workshops. * Research and gather information on local resources and organizations for partnering and collaborations. * Meet with residents to take a pulse on the community\'s needs, to brainstorm ideas for programs and events. Perform surveys, focus groups and committee oversight. * Generate monthly calendars for distribution to residents and provide program reports to team. * Monitor monthly program budget, expenditures and manage documentation for teaching artists. * Attend meetings as required. * Other duties as assigned.
