Job Description: The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible performing decontamination disinfection, inspection, sterilization, and distribution of product to the Surgery and Procedures areas. Follows hospital, department and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) policies and guidelines to ensure the highest level of patient safety. Is responsible for using technologies such as copier/scanner, internet, handheld devices, electronic medical records, instrument tracking systems, inventory management systems and email. This role works within established procedures and guidelines and completes assigned tasks with a moderate degree of supervision.The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for working collaboratively with the OR staff.
