What you will do: The Interventional Radiologist team is experts in the use of imaging techniques such as X-rays, ultrasound, CT and MRI to treat and diagnose disease. Treat a wide range of conditions using minimally-invasive, non-surgical techniques. Team structure consists of two IR technologists to one nurse and one physician. It is who we are.Job Description: Performs high quality radiologic exams, interventional medical sonography exams, cone beam CT exams, with three-dimensional reconstruction of imaging examinations, and complex procedures to aide in medical diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease to include interventional radiology, vascular interventional, and neuro interventional cases. Assists physician as a scrub person according to prescribed standards. Assist RN and provider in performing circulating duties as directed. Display understanding of anatomy and physiology, the pathological condition affecting the patient, the planned procedure, and consider any variations that may be necessary to meet the needs of the patient. Major Responsibilities: 1. Works with Gundersen Health System patients and their families to provide compassionate individualized care in the provision of Interventional Radiology services. Understands and applies the concepts of Interventional Radiology when performing examinations on patients. 2. Demonstrates working knowledge of instruments and competency of established protocols and equipment operation when performing fluoroscopic, cone beam CT,interventional medical sonography, three-dimensional reconstruction of imaging examinations on patients. Provides the best images possible to radiologists and providers for interpretation. Provides high quality service to customers in a cost effective and efficient manner. 3.
