Intern, Human Resources
Hiring Wage: $16.75
Dairyland Power Cooperative is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our Human Resources team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and compliance. The HR Intern will support the HR team in daily administrative tasks and contribute to ongoing projects aimed at improving HR processes and initiatives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Assist in posting job openings on various job boards and the company website.
Screen resumes and coordinate interviews with candidates.
Prepare onboarding materials and assist in the orientation process for new hires.
Employee Records:
Help maintain employee records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events.
Provide support in handling employee inquiries and issues.
HR Administration:
Assist in maintaining HR databases and systems.
Help prepare HR reports and presentations.
Support the HR team in conducting research on HR best practices and policies.
Compliance and Policy:
Assist in ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws and regulations.
Help in the review and update of HR policies and procedures.
Learning and Development:
Support the coordination of training sessions and development programs.
Assist in tracking employee training and development activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education & Experience: Current student in the field of Human Resources working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree. Recent Human Resources graduates will also be considered.
Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Detail oriented, with the ability to maintain data accuracy. Results driven, and able to meet deadlines. Previous ERP system experience is preferred. Effectively communicate with multiple individuals, across different departments. Maintain data security, confidentiality, and integrity.
