Robert Half Public Staff Tax Accountant in Kulpsville, Pennsylvania

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Public Staff Tax Accountant in the Manufacturing industry, located in Kulpsville, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be mainly accountable for managing tax-related accounting functions, utilizing various software tools, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and filing of state sales and use tax files

• Utilizing software such as CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, Gosystem, and Microsoft Excel for tax operations

• Ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations

• Conducting audits of accounting and financial information for discrepancies

• Managing customer service inquiries related to tax accounting

• Monitoring cash activity related to tax payments

• Taking part in training sessions to continuously improve tax accounting skills

• Collaborating with management to optimize tax management systems

• Utilizing accounting skills to ensure accurate and efficient tax operations

• Participating in monthly meetings and reporting on tax accounting updates and progress. Requirements

• Must possess strong skills in CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax

• Proficiency in Gosystem and Management System is required

• Should have a solid understanding of Microsoft Excel

• Must be able to perform Accounting Functions effectively

• Experience in Auditing is a must

• Should be able to handle Cash Activity efficiently

• Compliance knowledge is crucial for this role

• Must have excellent Customer Service skills

• Background in the Manufacturing industry is preferred

• Public Staff Tax Accountant experience is desirable

• Should have a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field

• Must be certified as a Public Accountant or be working towards certification

• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Should be able to work independently as well as part of a team

• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Should be detail-oriented and highly organized

• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
