Google Senior Staff Software Engineer, Privacy Sandbox in Kraków, Poland
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Candidates will typically have 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Java).
Typically 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 5 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure (e.g., GCP).
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Typically 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with a heavy emphasis on teamwork.
Ability to take complex concepts to develop and ship innovative technical solutions.

Privacy Sandbox aims to create innovative technologies that both protect user privacy online and give web publishers and app developers tools to build thriving digital ads businesses. As we phase out third-party cookies for billions of users, our team focuses on building privacy technologies that can scale and support the entire ads ecosystem.
The Platforms and Ecosystems product area encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications). The products provide enterprises, and ultimately end users, the ability to utilize and manage their services at scale. We build innovative and compelling software products—from apps to TVs, from laptops to phones—that have an impact on people’s lives across the world.
Manage a team of software engineers, make direct technical contributions, and provide guidance to team members. Guide the team through engaged priorities and balance short-term needs versus long-term strategic goals.
Collaborate with Program Managers, engineering leads, and partner teams to define the goal and drive the strategic roadmap.
Participate in engineering engagement with internal teams across sites and external partners, and influence and manage relationships with them.
Set the technical direction and plan deliverables and milestones. Drive execution, meet deadlines, and communicate status.
Empower and grow the team’s leadership and technical impact by modeling teamwork, cross-functional collaboration, and technical excellence.
