IBM Senior Java/Golang Developer in Krakow, Poland
Introduction
The IBM Container Licensing team is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Developer who is proficient in Java and Golang, with a strong background in Kubernetes, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices. You will become a member of the Development Team of IBM Foundation Services, which are core parts of flagship IBM products - Cloud Paks and Certified Containers. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in software development and be able to lead and mentor junior developers, contributing to the design, development, and deployment of high-quality software solutions.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software applications using Java and Golang.
Implement Agile methodologies to manage and deliver projects efficiently.
Implement and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Lead and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to coding standards.
Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Utilize DevOps practices to automate and streamline the development, testing, and deployment processes.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.
Proficiency in Java and Golang.
Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with microservices architecture.
Advanced certifications in Java, Golang, Kubernetes, or Agile methodologies
