AON Project Manager in Finance in Krakow, Poland

What the day will look like

Working as a Manager on the Global Controllership Projects team, you will be part of an international team responsible from the planning to execution of global accounting and finance initiatives, specifically in the following areas:

  • Controllership Project Management Office – Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan for and implement global Controllership and Financial Reporting Initiatives to deliver better business results for Aon by:

  • Preparing and monitoring project plans, budgets, and expenditures,

  • Partnering with key stakeholders (including Controllership, FP&A, People Organization, Internal Audit, Treasury, Tax, and Investor Relations) to execute project plans,

  • Managing change to people, processes, and technology,

  • Identifying and mitigating financial statement and operational risks, and

  • Leading global trainings.

  • Accounting Process Enhancements and Balance Sheet Consultations – Understand existing processes and provide recommendations to key stakeholders on opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies by:

  • Project planning and leadership,

  • Performing walkthroughs with local finance teams to gather documentation and information,

  • Analyzing data and existing processes, preparing process maps, reviewing and/or creating Balance Sheet reconciliations,

  • Ensuring compliance of global accounting policies under US GAAP and IFRS, and

  • Driving continuous innovation and process improvements by preparing presentations and providing recommendations for corrections and process alignments.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in accounting or finance,

  • Strong accounting research and project management skills, applied in a constantly changing fast paced environment,

  • US GAAP and/or IFRS knowledge,

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,

  • SOX controls or process design experience,

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,

  • Results oriented with strong sense of ownership and accountability,

  • Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities,

  • Proficient in MS Office (advanced MS Excel).
