The Senior Analyst for Logistics & Distribution for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for oversight and direction in Japan Logistics & Distribution (L&D) function. This position will be responsible for providing transportation and distribution though leadership, as well as the execution of all key logistics processes in Japan.

This position is part of the Japan L&D function located in Tokyo, Japan and will be on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Japan L&D team and report to the Japan Logistics Manager responsible for Transportation and Warehousing. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage procedures and trainings for Logistics & Distribution (L&D) Associates in Beckman Coulter warehouse (JPF) in Japan

  • Co-ordinate with Logistics Service Providers including internal stakeholders and monitor daily inbound/outbound deliveries

  • Manage and maintain business relationships with Appointed Service Providers

  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics to measure efficiency and improvement of L&D Associates from views of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory and Productivity

  • Improve Freight and Warehousing processes and systems; driving towards “Best-In-Class” operations within Beckman and Danaher groups

  • Lead and participate in Kaizen projects in collaboration with internal & external stakeholders

  • Comply and adhere to the Quality and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirement

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years+ of working experience in Supply Chain or Logistics industry

  • Business-level English proficiency (Vantage), in addition to Japanese

  • Conceptual and practical expertise in the field related to logistics control/management as well as knowledge of best practices differentiated in the market

  • Problem solving skills to deal with complex issues, taking a new perspective using existing solutions

  • Leadership to facilitate projects/other related teams with manageable resource requirements

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience with ERP system development

  • Experience in Process Validation with knowledge of ISO13485

  • Strong critical thinking skills, ability to exercise independent judgment and manage complexity and ambiguity

  • Teamwork spirit to help others to accomplish team objectives and duties.

  • Open mindset to learn new things and challenge the status quo.
