BorgWarner Inc. CIM Specialist Manager in Kokomo Technical Center, Indiana

DUTIES: BorgWarner Noblesville LLC seeks a CIM Specialist Manager based out of our office at 2151 E Lincoln Road, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work from the aforementioned address and from home. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned address. Note, this position requires domestic and

international travel, as needed, up to 10%.

Provide overall direction to all aspects of continuous improvement activities related to product safety, quality, production, and management. Coach Global Product Line Leadership (Chief Engineers, Plant Managers) and site leadership on selection of strategic improvement objectives; Teach advanced quality science, methods, and tools to achieve product line and site goals and objectives for cost, skills development, and process efficiency; Develop training programs such as Robust Engineering, Six Sigma methodology, A3 problem-solving, core tools, and lean manufacturing; Support product and process invention and development to minimize quality and warranty risks; Support operations to solve the most challenging problems; Track progress to goals including project value, cost savings, and efficiency improvements; Manage the Continuous Improvement Strategy for the business unit; Develop and implement strategic projects to continually improve quality and people skills; Interface with customers, suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders in both the plant and at engineering locations to enhance their perception and understanding of the Continuous Improvement Management (CIM); Develop, coordinate, and implement advanced training programs in the fields of Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and Robust Engineering; Act as the quality management representative and liaison for the Voice of Continuous Improvement in the business unit; Develop, implement, and manage tactical initiatives for continuous improvement; Manage department budget, tools, and training budget; Coordinate between Engineering, Quality, Plant Operations, and Program Management to ensure a systematic process is in place for solving complex product and process issues.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Industrial Engineering and 96 months of experience in job offered or related position in manufacturing management. Required experience must include: Experience leading efforts for Continuous Improvement Management (CIM); Experience developing training project management methodology; Experience developing global manufacturing strategies; Experience supervising a process improvement team; Experience developing and implementing continuous improvement strategies; Experience developing, implementing, and delivering project management training materials using project management methodologies such as Six Sigma, Robust Engineering, Shainin Red X, Design of Experiments, Control Charts, Measurement system Analysis, statistics, and quality measurement tools; Six Sigma Master Black Belt Certification; Red X Journeyman Certification; Red X Master Certification. Note, this position requires domestic and international travel, as needed, up to 10%.
