Events Planner

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Hybrid at Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Under the supervision of the Director – Sales, Showroom, Training/Events, this individual is responsible for planning and implementing the logistics involved with client events to ensure goals are met, positive client feedback is achieved, and all staff and vendors are effectively coordinated. Events may include meetings, conferences, sporting events, and training classes. Clients will include corporate executives, sales associates and customers. The position will also be responsible for administrative duties defined below.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Coordination of small “one off” trips 5-10 each year, branch meetings (as needed), Managers Meeting etc.

  • Assists with logistics for larger Customer trips, Sales meetings and events, including catering, room coordination and additional onsite support to Events Team.

  • Responsible for administrative documentation required for meeting planning including agendas, communication with customers, etc.

  • Provides on-site coordination, including problem-solving, decision making, and interaction with vendors.

  • In conjunction with the event planning team, develops and manages cost-effective budgets for each event, and processes all vendor invoices promptly.

  • Administrative Support –

  • Foundational executive administrative support – calendaring, purchase orders, travel and expense management, etc.

  • Onboarding/Offboarding Associates

  • Managing IT/tech needs, slide formatting, payments/PO’s for Professional Channel Marketing, P&S, Showroom Sales, Sales Training, and Events.

  • Assists with presentation creation, slide formatting, etc.

  • Schedules and organizes activities and details related to events, travel, training, conferences, and select departmental activities for the Directors of Professional Channel Marketing, Showroom Sales and P&S.

  • Monitors, transmits, and distributes communications for Leaders as required. This will include composing, editing, and tracking correspondence, analyses, and spreadsheets.

  • Track PC equipment/asset numbers for departments supported

Skills/Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.

  • At least 1 - 3 years previous events planning experience required.

  • Previous experience within the hospitality industry preferred.

  • Requires strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to adjust to changing situations and last-minute challenges with strong follow through.

  • Willingness to work special events that may fall on weekend and/or evening as needed.

  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and service level.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The hourly range for this position is $24.35 - $30.45. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
