Aston Carter Senior Accounting Manager in Knoxville, Tennessee

Opportunity to work for a global media company that has been a pioneer in the industry for over 100 years! This position will work closely with auditors, senior executives, and the accounting policy team to resolve complex accounting issues.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of accounting experience

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience

  • CPA required

  • SAP experience required

  • Media Industry Experience

Description

  • Lead month end close process and oversee review of complex entries and adjustments for the corporate accounting function

  • Oversee monthly accounting processes

  • Ability to understand and interpret accounting guidance and apply it effectively, including fair value and impairment guidance under US GAAP

  • Ensure financial controls are operating effectively including ownership of SOX controls relating to primarily, investments and transfer and servicing of financial assets

  • Provide accounting perspective and support to senior Finance and Accounting leaders including Corporate Executives, Segment CFOs, and Controllership SVP's and Executive Directors

  • Reinforcing the controllership culture through sponsorship and involvement in cross-department development and team-building programs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX requirements

  • SAP Experience

  • Media Industry Experience

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills

  • Investment and Sale Accounting Experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
