Purpose/Introduction
Performance Pipe is currently seeking Production Operators to join the Knoxville, TN manufacturing location.
Responsibilities
Participates in daily safety routines (both as an individual and team member).
Performs calibration functions on processing equipment.
Uses basic hand and power tools.
Measures pipe and verifies that dimensional tolerances are within acceptable criteria.
Prepares product for shipping per various packaging requirements.
Assists team mates as required.
Capable of lifting approximately 50 lbs. without an assist.
Capable of standing for long periods of time on concrete flooring.
Required Qualifications
A minimum education of High School education or GED.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license.
Detail-oriented candidates who have a demonstrated work history of shift work, in addition to working injury free and following work place/plant safety practices and procedures.
Ability to work safely in a team-oriented environment.
General knowledge and experience using various types of hand tools.
Basic computer and math skills.
A demonstrated history of learning and applying new information and technology with math and learning skills.
Proficient in communicating in English language (both verbal and written).
Available to work rotating 12-hr shifts (including weekends and holidays).
Preferred Qualifications
⦁ Experience in a manufacturing environment
⦁ Plastics extrusion process experience

Wages are paid bi-weekly. Starting pay for this position is $22.74/hr with time and one-half (1.5) paid for hours worked after 40 hours in a week. After completing a 120-day successful probationary period and 4 month demonstrated learning, ability the rate increases to $23.95/hr. Employees are reviewed thereafter on a regular schedule for potential increases.
