Job Description

The purpose of this job is to support construction projects and remodels through the development and production of architectural design drawings and construction documents.

  1. Responsible for implementing architectural projects, through the development of design and construction documents, including providing support to the Project Architect during permitting, bidding and construction administration.

  2. Coordinate design criteria through communication with various internal departments, vendors, and consultants.

  3. Prepare drawing revisions for project updates and changes.

  4. Review vendor shop drawings for compliance.

  5. Distribute drawings to contractors, vendors, suppliers, building officials, and company team members.

  6. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level.

  7. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate required

  • Associate degree in drafting preferred

  • Proficient in AutoCAD Architecture and Revit

  • Basic Microsoft Office skills

  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience as an Architectural Designer or Project Coordinator. This position requires a thorough understanding of building construction methods and techniques as well as advanced knowledge of the applicable codes.

  • Commercial construction experience and knowledge preferred

  • Coordination skills with the responsibility for communicating with other disciplines and the client.

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects successfully

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including telephone skills

  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills

  • Travel required less than 5%

  • General office work requiring sitting or standing for long periods of time
