Job Description

AECOM's Environment Canada team is actively seeking Project Managers to fill multiple positions across Canada.

We are seeking highly motivated Project Manager candidates that work collaboratively with other team members and are effective communicators. As part of our team, the successful applicant will lead projects, environmental management work and deliverables throughout a project life cycle, including:

  • Liaising with clients by phone, email, writing and in-person.

  • Liaising with local, provincial, and Federal agencies regarding permits and approvals.

  • Collaborating with technical and professional staff across the company in completing assignments.

  • Coordinating, preparing for, attending, and documenting project meetings.

  • Coordinating and managing environmental specialists (i.e., fisheries, terrestrial, noise, air, archaeology, etc.) and planning support staff.

  • Supporting business development efforts, including proposal writing

  • Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects, including more complex clients and projects.

  • Technical project management, including but not limited to tracking project schedule, working with the broader team to ensure delivery of projects, liason with clients and project stakeholders, managing project risks, invoicing and reviewing project financial performance.

  • Project coordination with multiple internal and external stakeholders, clients, and contractors.

  • Ensure compliance with AECOM's Quality Management System.

  • Adhere to AECOM's Corporate H&S Policies.

  • Mentoring junior project management and technical staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree + 2 years of experience in planning/environmental/ecology related projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • Motivated, team player, independent, organized with strong business acumen

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Experience with business development

  • Proficient in common desktop packages, i.e. Word, Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint

Preferred Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in planning/environmental/ecology related projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Additional Information

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $61,000.00 - $80,000.00.
