Waste Connections Account Manager in Kitchener, Ontario

Summary of Functions:

As an Account Manager your primary responsibility is to oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring high satisfaction levels and successfully guiding them through contract renewals. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of client agreements, maximizing retention, and identifying upsell opportunities. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills and a commitment to holding the line in contractual negotiations.

Client Retention:

Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.

Strategically manage the renewal process, ensuring a high rate of contract renewals.

Contractual Oversight:

Thoroughly understand and enforce the terms and conditions of client contracts.

Skillfully negotiate contract renewals, balancing client expectations with organizational goals.

Upsell Opportunities:

Identify and capitalize on opportunities to upsell additional products or services to existing clients.

Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create compelling value propositions.

Client Communication:

Keep clients informed on contract renewal timelines, upcoming features, and industry insights.

Address client concerns promptly and proactively, maintaining open lines of communication.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of solid business to business (B2B) sales experience

  • Experience with contract selling will be an asset

  • Excellent communication and time management skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, excel, etc.)

  • Knowledge of ARES, Salesforce, or comparable CRM tool is a plus

  • Must have own vehicle for existing customers
