A.T. Still University's Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) is seeking a non-exempt Multimedia Specialist on the Kirksville, Missouri campus. The position reports to the Senior Associate Dean, Academic Affairs and the Manager, Academic Technologies. The Multimedia Specialist is responsible for providing direct academic technology support for MOSDOH students, faculty, and staff on the Missouri Campus as well as the St. Louis Dental Center. Additionally, this individual will provide technology support to the Senior Associate Dean Academic Affairs and administration.

Major Job Duties

  • Serves as the “in-house IT person” for the dental school within A. T. Still University’s Kirksville campus and MOSDOH’s St Louis Dental Center and other associated buildings as a first line of defense for technology needs, issues, and concerns.

  • Facilitate AV service, provide Zoom setup and assistance, and provide classroom technical support for MOSDOH, faculty, and staff.

  • Provide service and support for video recording, editing, encoding, posting digital video files, and assisting the Academic Technologies department with event support.

  • Consult and advise faculty and staff with information technology requests.

  • Help implement plans for advancing technology while collaborating with university ITS.

  • Provide technology support before MOSDOH exams.

  • Serves as a liaison between ITS and MOSODH.

  • Facilitate the service, support, and maintenance of IT & AV equipment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include coordinating video conferencing/audio visual (AV) support for faculty and staff & campus events.

  • Evaluating and assessing the technology needs of the dental school.

  • Prepare all commencement events surveys and provide data reports upon close of surveys and as requested.

  • Provide maintenance and ensure all MOSDOH websites including the commencement events site are updated regularly and accurate.

  • Prepare Student Award Ceremony and Banquet PowerPoints.

  • Oversee MOSDOH Employee and Student Portals (Google Sites).

  • Maintain the good working order of ATSU Multimedia/AV equipment.

  • Website maintenance.

  • Record, edit, encode, and post digital video files.

  • Training new employees on university technology usage.

  • Documentation of processes and creation of training materials.

  • Secondary responsibilities to various support service roles.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Skills/Requirements

  • Two-year college certificate or equivalent 1-year technical training or schooling in a related field or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of audio-visual setup and maintenance.

  • Knowledge of digital video and audio production.

  • Knowledge of Process Documentation.

  • Excellent computer skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.

  • Effective time management.

  • Organizational skills.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to work under stressful environments during mission-critical times.

  • This job will require occasional after-hours and weekend work.

  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs.
