Job Responsibilities
Truman State Universitys Public Relations Office is seeking a digital content specialist responsible for overseeing social media platforms and creating original video projects. The individual must be able to multi-task various projects, prioritizing them to meet tight deadlines. Accuracy is a must. A high standard for quality of work and professionalism is expected. The candidate needs a good understanding of branding and must be able to work within the guidelines of Trumans brand requirements. Candidates should also have a sense of creativity and understand how to develop engaging content for a variety of platforms. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, on-site position.
Responsibilities Responsible for posting content on University social media platforms, including but not limited to, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X and Threads. Responsible for monitoring University social media platforms. Work with other collaborators to ensure proper use of content in a timely manner. Film, edit and release promotional video content for the University. Ability to be accurate and pay attention to detail. Ability to work with a variety of people from different backgrounds. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple jobs.

Required Qualifications
A bachelors degree, preferably in communication, journalism, marketing, media production or a related field; or commensurate demonstrated proficiency with social media and video production. Experience with social media platforms. Familiarity with digital video cameras. Experience with video editing software.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with social media monitoring tools. Experience with Mac. Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. Experience with livestream video production.

Salary
The starting salary range for this position is $35,600 annually and commensurate with experience.
