GoDaddy.com, LLC Senior Software Development Engineer in Kirkland, Washington

Duties: The Senior Software Development Engineer at GoDaddy.com, LLC in Kirkland, Washington will analyze requirements and work closely with Product Managers to define the feature set of software applications. Design large scalable, multitiered distributed software applications. Deliver high quality code along with automated tests in a timely manner. Participate in and lead design meetings. Drive architectural decisions in commerce transaction processing space. Understand business requirements as given by management and how they transform into technical implementations. Utilize Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, AWS, docker, and Java. Work with JavaScript and Node.JS and conduct client-side caching mechanisms for JavaScript modules. Follow direct implementation of caching mechanisms and understand implications that backend changes have on GoDaddy's page load times. Work with cloud security best practices and consider how security will impact design decisions and impact ability for team to iterate. Use cloud platform technologies such as AWS, Google Platform, OpenStack. Use SQL and/or NoSQL technologies. Use RESTful API design and microservices. Work in agile environment to investigate design approaches, prototype and evaluate technical feasibility. Develop in Java, C#, NodeJS with continuous integration and building on Docker and Kubernetes. Work in maintenance and on-call support activities for team owned applications. Mentor junior members on team by sharing best practices and reviewing their code. May telecommute up to 4 days per week. GoDaddy's compensation may vary based on an individual's qualifications at the time of the offer. The annual base salary range is $138,000-$207,000 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 3 years of experience as a software engineer or related occupation. Employer will also accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a software engineer or related occupation. Experience must include 3 years with each of the following: (1) Java; (2) utilizing SQL and NoSQL database technologies; (3) building CI/CD pipelines; (4) supporting transactional, distributed or monolithic systems; (5) RESTful API design and microservices; (6) cloud platform technologies using AWS; (7) Docker or Kubernetes; (8) maintenance and support activities including issue resolution; (9) Agile methodology; and (10) mentoring junior team members.
